HASTINGS CLUB. The Hastings Bowling and Croquet Club opened their 1911-12 season on Saturday afternoon. Beautiful weather prevailed and tlie altendanec-' was very large, including member:of ihn Napier, Bluff Hill, and Greenmeadows Clubs. Air. Murlcy, president of the Hastings Club, welcomed the visitors in n short speech and expressed the hope that there would be many in-ter-club matches during the season. ?.hw. V,\ Smiili, wife of tlie vieepresiaent, then rolled tlie jacx amidst applause, and the annual match. President v. Vice-president commenced. Seven rinks took part, the President’s team winning by 115 points to 1.37. The individual rinks and scores were as follows, the representatives of tlie President being mentioned first :— Murray.
