PRISONERS SENTENCED

Dunedin, Oct. 3. Judge Williams sentenced the following prisoners : James Hughes, failing to keep proper books of account. The prisoner had been in gaol three weeks and rwo days ; sentenced to one day’s imprisonment. Norman Leonard Findlay, four charges of false pretences, three months concurrent. Henry- Mallace Smith Paterson, breaking and entering and theft of £2l, six months.
