AGRICULTURAL INSTRUCTION.
SCHOOL BOYS IN CAMP. Fcilding, Oct. 3. By way of teaching practical agriculture the Wanganui Education Board has arranged a week’s camp for the High School beys. The camp which is the first of its kind in New Zealand, is now being held at- Mr. E. Short’s stud farm at Cheltenham, and thirty six hoys from Wanganui. Maston, Tailiape and Fcilding ar< present. Yesterday, Mr. J. Dunlop, manager of the stud farm, gave tin boys a practical dem .nstration of tlu good points of horses and cattle. Valuable lectures are to fellow. The will do the actual work of the farm during the week. Mr. Piraid (chair man)., Messrs Purnell and (hitbrie, M.P., (members of llic Beard), and J r. Braik (chief inspector) paid an official visit to the camp. Mr. Jas. Grant, agricultural supervisor of the Wanganui Edui-;it : n Board is 'it charge.
