The “Telegraph” publishes an interview in which it states that Arnst is not now prepared to accept £750 to go to England to meet Barry. He will not consider the matter under £lOOO. He is engaged in a lucrative business, and if Barry wants a race he must pay £lOOO. He is prepared to allow Barry moderate expenses to row on the Paramatta.
