A BAD CASE.

Wellington, Aug. 14. What was described by Mr. Justice Chapman as one of the most shocking cases that has been before the Court was heard to-day, when Ray Lawton. aged 14 years of age, was charged with committing rape on a girl of 15 years. The boy did nor blame the girl. The accused said he was the son of a widow who was left with 17 children. The boy was committed to an industrial school.
