ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
FOUND DROWNED.
Auckland, Aug. 14
The dead body of James Robertson, aged 38, the baker who has been missing since August sth. was found in the harbour.
EXPRESSMAN KILLED. Wellington, Aug. 13. James Joseph Martin, expressman, died in the hospital to-day as the result of injuries received through falling from an express on August 4th. An inquest is being held this afternoon. Gisborne, Aug. 14. William Milne, engine-driver, died suddenly at Kanaekanaia, he being found in a paddock suffering great pain. An inquest was dispensed with, the coroner being satisfied that death was due to natural causes. Dunedin, Aug. 11. Hugh McK inlay, rabbit er, aged 65 years, was found dead in his hut at the Mount Pisa station. MISHAPS AT A FOUNDRY. Two slight accidents are reported from Niven and Co.’s works. An apprentice, named Alfred Searle Coster. Lad his toes painfully crushed, and another apprentice, named Ernest Dawe, fell over a digester top and cut his knee open.
