MILITARY EXECUTIONS.
DISGRACEFUL SCENES
Paris, Aug. 10
Two sailors have been executed at the Toulon rifle range for stabbing a comrade forty-three times at Ajaccio in January, and stealing I’d. The murderers were unchained at the stakes, and their eyes bandaged in the presence of thousands, requiring 3000 soldiers and sailors to keep back the crowd. When the order to fire was given anti-militarists in the crowd attempted a demonstration. The gendarmes intervened, and violent scuffles followed.
