FOOTBALL
Owing to a number of the Hast ings Sub-union representatives who were chosen to play against the East Coast Sub-union being unable to obtain the necessary leave, the trip to Porangahau had to be abandoned. The team was to have left by the mail train this morning, and secretary of the sub-union had chartered _a drag to convey the players from Waipawa to the East Coast and obtained railway travelling concessions before receiving intimation of the inability of the players to proceed.
STUBBS AND BECK v FRIMLEY FACTORY.
At the rdge to-morrow at 3 o’clock teams from the staffs of the Frimley Canning Factory and Stubbs and Beck meet in a football match. The following are the teams. Frimley : P. Jarvis. A. Guy, A.
