) Christchurch, June 16. I Wm. Brewer, aged 35, a lumper .on the wharf, was killed while ! working the coal- steamer Ngstoro, t at Lyttelton, this morning. A big i lump of coal was knocked out of a, i basket, and it struck Brewer on • the head, fracturing his skull.
