Auckland, June 16.. , In the Supreme Court this morning, John Kettle, who had pteadeef guilty to forgery at Gisborne, failed to appear. It was presumed he had left the country. Judge Edwards said Kettle by his forgery got £lB/19/-, When before the Lower Court he stated he was induced to commit the crime to .re- , lieve the distress of his wife and family in Scotland, r Inquij-iep' made showed his wife had only received 30/- from prior- to th 6 offence. A -warrant issued for Kettle’s apprehension. y
