RUDD’S APPEAL DISMISSED. Christchurch, June 2. The New Zealand Boxing Council last meeting dismissed Rudd’s appeal against his disqualification by Hawke’s Bay Association, and decided that the association was amply justified in its action, and further, in view of what occurred in the ring in the Rudd —Blackmore contest, neither man should be given further matches in New Zealand or be allowed to identify himself with the sport in the Dominion. The council recommeride(t~'that New Zealand championships should be held in Invercargill on July 24 and 25. Queensland Association reported Australasian championships would commence in Brisbane, September 7th.
