GAMES ON SUNDAYS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir.—Of all the hide-bound, bigoted societies in this part of the Domionion. commend me to the H.B. Hockey Association. I am, I admit, quite ignorant of its constitution. but it surely must be under the thumb of the ‘‘Wowsers.” Anyhow, I think it is time that the hockey players of this part of the country either had it mended or ended. “No players are allowed to play hockey on any grounds under the jurisdiction of the Association on Sundays.” That is how the advertisement was worded. Fancy calling themselves “sports.” Why. they are a disgrace to the name. If, however, the sports of Hastings will only organise themselves properly, they should soon be able to mend matters.. —I am. etc., PROGRESS.
