RUSHED BY A BULL. Christchurch, May 23. A man named Mcdoy was gored bj a bull at Lower Riccarton this morning. The bull rushed from the road into a paddock. McCloy kept the gate open for it to pass through, but it rushed at him and injured him severely on the head. FALL OFF TIMBER STACK. Christchurch, May’ 23. A fatal accident occurred in the timber yard of Messrs. White and Co., Addington, about ten minutes to one o’clock to-day. A labourer named Charles Caesar, who had been employed by Messrs. White and Co. for some years, was engaged in stacking timber. ’While standing on top of a stack about eight feet high he fell off on to the giound, breaking his neck. BLASTING FATALITY. Sydney, May 23. A blasting accident occurred at the Kangraia mine, near Yass Two miners, Wright and Edmunds, were killed and another seriously injured. While drilling they struck a neglected charge of dynamite.
