Eltham, Alay 9. The municipal gasworks, with a capacity of 7,500,000 cubic feet per annum, costing about £lO.OOO, were officially opened yesterday afternoon.
The municipal town hall, costing about £4OOO. seating 950. and fitted with complete stage accessorv.as officially opened last night. The Alinister of Public Works and representative public men were present at a banquet.
