Mr. Harris, who is manager for Hat rick and Co.. st ates that when going down the river to test the dt pt it at the rapids he noticed Bell staggering about as if drunk. Bell fell, and on rising again Mr. Harris noticed him slash his throat with a razor and collapse. Mr. Hanis endeavoured, after giving the alarm, to stop the bleeding. The thought struck him that he had better look at the spot where Bell had staggered from. He Ihm discovered the dead body of the girl, and Bell soon succumbed to his injuries.
