POPULATION GROWTH.

The census returns are almost complete. They show the population of Tasmania to be 192,000, an increase of nearly 20,000 since the 1901 census.

[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wairoa, May 2. The census return shows the population of Wairoa County to be 2853 for the borough a total of 1097. The total increase for five vears is 697.
