The Company’s twin-screw, fullpowered TANGAROA trades exclusively between Port Ahuriri and Wairoa, and the sailings are regulated by the state of the Wairoa bar. This is the best and quickest route for visitors to Lake Waikaremoana and Morere Hot Springs. Passengers can rely on safe, comfortable and expeditious travelling, the voyage to and from Wairoa usually ocupying 4| hours as against 36 hours by the Overland Route.
