HOCKEY.
HAWKE’S BAY (3) v. POVERTY BAY (2). The H.B. team left for Gisborne last Friday, and played the local representatives there on Saturday afternoon. The game was very fast and some good play was witnessed. For the winners Masters (2) and Land scored, while Davy scored for the Gisborne team.
The visitors speak well of the way in which they were entertained at Gisborne.
