SOCCER.

HASTINGS v. NAPIER

The soccer game played on McLean Park, Saturday afternoon, between Hastings and Napier, was looked forward to with great interest, and a real good exhibition was given. This is one of the finest soccer games played in Napier for a long time and it would seem that this game too some day will enter into serious competition with the Northern and Rugby Unions. Cropp and Hunter scored for Napier, the winning team, and J. Blair for Hast-’ ings—Napier 2 goals, Hastings 1 goal.
