The objectof the classes is to give an oppoi - tunity to those who have taken tie-! grees to make themselves acquaint ; ed with the scitntific advances of, the most recent years. Mr. J. Philipsoon, High Chief Ruler of the Independent Order of Rechabites. and Mr. C. W. Churchill, Past High Chief Ruler, representatives from the headquarters of the Order, now on a visit to Australasia, as a result of an invitation from Victoria to take part in the jubilee celebrations of the Order there, which were held a few weeks back, were entertained at the Kelburne Kiosk, Wellington, on Saturday. In the evening there was a united tent meeting, followed by a civic welcome in the Town Hall. Yesterday there was a church parade at Petone of the various tents, and Brother Philipson addressed the members in the Methodist Church. Last night he addressed the brethren in the Taranaki Street- Methodist Church, Wellington.
