FARMERS’ AND FRUITGROWERS’ ANNUAL PICNIC.

The annual picnic held under the auspices of . ..the N.Z. Farmers’ Union and H!B. Fruitgrowers’ As? sociation took place to-day in a paddock on Mr. T. Crosse’s Woodlands Estate, Riverslea, Hastings. There was a large gathering of farmers, who brought with them , their wives and families. The ' weather could not have been more favourable, being., neither top..F.ufe. nor too cold. Races for all were on the programme, and these got off without a hitch, the- Committee deserve a. word of praise for the excellence of the arrangements.
