THE RUIN OF PRINCE AND PEASANT.

The Lieutenant-Governor, in a| speech at Lahore, strongly de-, nounced the intemperance in Cen-' tral Punjab, which he declared in-! volved in common ruin prince and ; peasant, educated and uneducated. He said the drunkenness was! largely attributable to the increas-, ed prosperity of the land-holders and labourers. 1
