DELEGATES’ BANQUET. The visiting delegates to the annual District Meeting of the Hawke’s Bay branches of the I. M.U., were entertained at a banquet in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Hastings, last' evening. The catering was in the capable hands of Mr. R. Warren, who provided an excellent spread. The toast • list was as follows-.—“ The King”; “Manchester Unity,” proposed by P.P.G.M. Bro. G. Love, and responded to by P.P.G.M. Bro. Williamson; “Hawke’s Bay District,” proposed by P.P.G.M. Bro. T. Krough, and responded to by ■ P.G.M. G. D. Love and P.C.S. Bro. J. B. Feilder; “Kindred Societies,” proposed by P.S. Bro. Bull, and responded to by Bro. T. Styles (A.0.F.); “Hastings Lodge,” proposed by P.G. Bro. ,F. Thomas, and responded to by Bro. T, Davidson. A number of musical items, recitations, etc., were rendered between the different toasts, and a pleasant evening concluded with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
