FLOODS IN SCOTLAND.

GLASGOW STREETS INUNDATED.

(Received 20, 9.40 a.m.) London, Feb. 19. There have been serious floods in Glasgow owing to presistent rains. The river Clyde overflowed, causing the tramway service to be suspended. Trains are running with d'f’culty, and football matches had to be postponed. Three rivers in the Irvine district, Ayrshire, overflowed, flooding pits and houses and imprisoning many of the inhabitants. A great many sheep have been drowned, and tracts of country are under water.
