SAWMILL FATALITY.

[per press association.] Whangarei, Deb. 21. John Pitman, a Maori youth, 15 years old. was caught in the logwinding gear at McKinstry Wilkinson’s sawmills yesterday evening - , and carried thrice round the drum in the wire coils. Death was practically’ instantaneous. The inquest was held’ to-day, and a verdict of accidental death returned. No blame is attachable to anyone.
