WILLIAMS AND KETTLE. Williams and Kettle, Limited, report as follows: We held our fortnightly stock sale at Stortford Lodge on Wednesday. A fair yarding of stock, representative of both sheep and cattle, was offered to a large attendance of buyers and others. Bidding was brisk throughout, the yards, with the exception of a few dairy cows, being cleared under the hammer. We realised the following prices Cattle; Fat bullocks (medium weights) £7 7s to £7 13s fid; fat cows £5 15s to £6 11s; store 2-year bullocks £5 ss; 15 to 20 months steers £3 9s, weaner steers £2 3s to £2 7s; dairy cows from £3 13s fid to £7. Sheep; Fat wethers 13s lOd, four and sixtooth wethers 11s Bd, four-tooth maiden ewes 11a fid, two-tooth wethers 10s fid to lls 3d.

On Thursday we held our clearing sale of Mr H. H. Bridge’s well-known stock at Fairfield, A large attendance of both local and outside buyers was present. Competition for all lots was keen from start to finish, the sale being pronounced by all present a great success. We realised the following prices:—Shearling Romney stud ewes by imported English rams out of ewes from English stock 2gs to 2igs, two and three shear stud ewes by imported English rams out of ewes from English stock sgs, stud ewe lambs from imported stock l]gs, four and five year stud ewes from English imported stock 4|gs, two-shear rams from imported English stock 4gs, three-shear rams from imported English stock 2]gs to 4]gs, four-shear colonial stud rams IJgs to 2]gs, full-mouth imported stud rams from lOgs to 41gs, Fairfield-bred three-shear rams 2]gs to 3Jgs, ram lambs by English imported rams 3gs to 4J)gs, shearling Fairfield-bred rams from Ig to lijgs. two-tooth wethers 12s, twotooth colonial stud ewes 12s 3d to 18s 9d, two-tooth colonial stud ewes 20s 3d, six-tooth colonial stud ew'es 18s 3d, colonial stud ram lambs 14s to 24s fid, colonial stud ewe lambs 16s, four and five-year colonial stud ewes 14s fid, two-tooth flock ewes 13s 3d to 19s 3d, four and six-tooth flock ewes 13s fid, tour and five-year flock owes lls 9d, lambs 8s 9d to 10s 3d. Cows with calves at toot £7 12s fid to £7 14s, two-year heifers £6 10s, two-year off steers £4 ss, fifteen months steers £3 2s, yearling steers £3 2s fid, dairy cows £5 7s fid.
