The Canterbury College Empowering Bill was recommitted. Clause 12, giving borrowing powers, was struck out. The bill was reported, read a third time, and passed. SECOND READINGS. Mr Carroll moved the second reading of the Gisborne Harbor Board Further Empowering Bill to enable the Board to borrow .£20,000 for the purchase of a dredge and to extend the wharf.— Carried. Mr M'Gowan moved the second reading of the Thames Borough Endowment Leasing, and Mr Napier moved the second reading of the Auckland Harbor Board Empowering Bill, both of which were carried. AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL. The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act Amendment Bill was read a third time. RATEI'AYEBS' DISABILITIES RELIEF. On the motion for the third reading of the Ratepayers' Disabilities Relief Hill, Mr Flatman moved that it be read that day six months. The debate was Interrupted by the 8.30 adjournment.
