THE TYSER LINE.

The Tyeer Company's new oargo-oatrior Mimiro arrived from Auokland on Saturday!' That she is a very fine class of Bteamer, the description already published has disclosed, and the fact that ahe holds the record— 44 days— for the direct trip from New York to Melbourne at once classes her as a vessel possessed of steaming qualities above the average. The placing of the Mimiro in the New Zealand trade is, another step forward in the maritime progress of the colony. She has 2600 tons of general cargo to disoharge at this port— the largest freight ever landed from a single bottom in Wellington. She will proceed hence to Timara to take in a quantity of grain, calling afterwards at Lyttelton, Napier, the Wangatrai roadstead in that order, and will return to Wellington to complete her cargo and take in bunker coal. Her final date of departure will be about the Bth or 10th proximo. Captain East is now in Wellington in connection with the loading of the big. steamer. The Mimoio met with very severe weather on the trip down from Auokland. Strong north-west winds with heavy seas and thick weather and fiequent bail squalls, prevailed in crossing the Bay of Plenty, and head winds and thick weather for the remainder of the trip. . The Star of Australia, now at Sydney, is due in Wellington via Auokland, Gisborne, and Napier about the 30th instant. She will be f oflowed by the Star of New Zealand, whioh arrived at Melbourne on Monday last after a smart run of 46 days ' from London.— Times.
