FOOTBALL.
The cup fixtures for the season 1890 will commence to-day. The senior m&tch set down for to-morrow, Olive first v. "West End will not take place, on aooount of the West End club withdra-rt-ing from
the senior contest.
The management committee' met last evening and decided that it was* too late to arrange another senior match for tomorrow, so the senior fixtures will^ not commence until next Saturday. ,
The 'junior fixtures as advertised in another column will take place this afternoon, and drags will leave the Masonio corner at 2 o'clock for Farndon.
The ! Union have made arrangements with the Eailway Department to put on a Epeoial train every week whioh will start next Saturday. Ihe looal authorities are endeavouring to make the game popular this season and expect the public to support them. No charge for admission will be asked this afternoon, and a large attendance of the public is expeoted. The Union meet at 7.45 p.m. this eve*--,-ing when the fixtures for next Saturday will be arranged.
