GREATER LONDON.

ITS SELF-GOVERNMENT. Eeceived January 25, 9.10 a,m. London, January 24. ' It has been announced on behalf of the Government that they will introduce a measure into Parliament i<or conferring upon London greater facilities for self government. The Daily Telegraph commenting upon the announcement, says that the new proposals will not touch the Corporation of the City of London, the privileges of which will be left intact. With regard to greater London that journal states that the London County Council will not be interfered with, but that 30 subsidiary municipalities will be created for the whole of the metropolis outside the boundaries of the City itself. These bodies will be invested with the powers at present exercised by vestries and district boards.
