Te Kapu steamed tt> Wairoa yesterday morning, arriving there at 4 a.m., and was due back here late last night. It is intended to despatch her for Wairoa at noon to-day. The Huddart-Parker steamer Elingamite is due. at the breakwater early this morning from Northern ports and Sydney, and is advertised to leave for Wellington and, Southern ports at 2 p.m. . . .The. Union Company's b.s. Omapere leaves .Wellington to-night for Napier. "... "The. Union Company's s.s. Waihora is fcinxjd to leave Wellington this afternoon, arriving here to-morrow morning, and leaves at evening for Northern ports and Sydney. The s.s. Ahuriri left last night for Waimarama. where a load of wool awaits her. The Union Company's s.s. Kia Ora was to leave Auckland last night for Napier, and may be looked for about Monday next. The Opawa is expected to finish her ' loading to-morrow, and sail for London on Saturday. The Shaw, Savill and Albicn Company's barque Lutterworth is expected to leave Nelson daily for Napier, and on arrival goes on the berth to load wool for London. Captain Kelly, who was here last year, is still in command. The s.s. Weka make 3 a trip to Mahia to-night. Mr J/ Fiaher, of the dredge J.D.0.,, at Napier, who has been studying at Mr Gifford's Navigation School, Wellington, has passed his examination as master of a steamer plying within restricted limits.
