Waihora is fcinxjd to leave Wellington this afternoon, arriving here to-morrow morning, and leaves at evening for Northern ports and Sydney. The s.s. Ahuriri left last night for Waimarama. where a load of wool awaits her. The Union Company's s.s. Kia Ora was to leave Auckland last night for Napier, and may be looked for about Monday next. Mr J/ Fiaher, of the dredge J.D.0.,, at Napier, who has been studying at Mr Gifford's Navigation School, Wellington, has passed his examination as master of a steamer plying within restricted limits.
