The Mayot has bad a scheme prepared of detailed proposals for legislation to repay the overdrafts and restrict) them in future, to provide for a water supply on the high levels, and money for urgent works which cannot be done out of inoome, to widen and extend the streets, Including the abolition of the Baein Reserve and the pnrohane of another reoreation ground, and finally to buy Mlramar Peninsula, on the left hand entrance to the harbor, aa a public park, throw open the eastern town belt for boUding pnrposes, and extend the olty fcouniiarlfla to Miramar.
