Harris Hastings, the Becretary o the Dunedln relief cotumJttßO, rebeived the following ielegrani on Saturday fiom Mr Tbpmau Bennett, chairman of the Town Board at Bull* :— " ti funds available relief urgently repaired for settlers Id the KangUlkel Valley. The aotiaal lo3a woald ran into some thousands of pounds, but of coarse relief ouly is aimed at. la Balls township alone 13 families had to abandon theii homes, their farnitare, bedding, sad effects being eitber destroyed or mnoh damaged, In two onees cqb houses with contents being Bwept clean away. Several farmers have lost large numbers of stock, beeldeß having their fenoes, &c, de> attoyed, and the grass on large areas of land covered bo deep with silt as to re* qaire ro-sowinf?.' 1 After oonsalting with as many members of the looal committee as were available, the following reply was sent :— "Awaited tall week before deoldlng. In absence of any information, meeting last Monday nnanimonsly agreed to leave entire distribution of fnnda In the haoda Of the Napier oommlttee. If you apply to them for OBBlstanoe this oommlttee will Bupport yonr 'irjpiiofttlnn "
