NEW SANITARY BYE LAWS.

The following are the principal new sanitary bye laws which the .Napier Borough Couocl! propose to adopt : — MAIN VENTILATING SHAFT. On the sewer bide ot every disconnector trap 8 ventilation ehnft Bball be famished, havlag a diameter of four inches. iSuoh connection shall be made on the top of the dialn by means of a vertical branch. No part ot such shaft ehall be placed lnelde any bnllding. Such shaft shall be carried to a height not less than three feet above the bfgheßt point of the highest roof within a radtnß of 60 feet In a horizontal direction from the shaft. A cap or cowl of an approved pattern shall be fixed on the top thereof. The outlet ot the ventilation shaft ehall be plaoed as for away us possible, not being lesi than six test measnred In any direction, from any window or chimney top.
