(Received December 8, 10,10 p.m.) Stdney, Tuesday. The inquests on the Glenbrook Tiotitns have conoluded, and a verdiot of wilful murder agutnst Butler in both oases was returned. Evidonoa was «iven that Butler told Weller not to let any of his friends see bitn, as he was well known to miners and had the repu> tation of being especially clever, and they would think he was on the traok of something good and probably follow them. It was also stated that before coming to Australia Weller was mining in tbe Transvaal, and waa among the Johannesbergers who armed to assist the Jameson raiders.
Portions of the Stookton pit from which the fatal gases escaped have been walled off preparatory to resuming work..
The Tonga Trading Company, with a capital of £10,000, has been registered in Bydney with the object of developing trade between Sydney and Tonga, with headquarters at Nukualofa.
