As hs bsa nob ilnee been leen inquiry was made, resijltjIna in an information being laid, charging him with stealing £1132 16a 4d from the faadiof a local society io which tbe public is largely Interested, and a warrant for Us arrest waa leaned to- day, It 1b stated that three cheques, whloh were duly made ont in eonneotion with tbe basinaea of the sooletyiorf 1132 16a 4d were cashed at the bank on the morning of the 28th. Investigation is being made, and no donbti faitherllght will be thrpwo on the matter in the course of a few days.
