Hastings v. United Tradesmen*

The Napier cricketers had the satisfaction of gaining an easy victory yesterday afternoon when they played against the Hastings Cricket Club. This was due in great measure to the good play of Messrs Worrall, Seabright, and Bardsley, who ware the only members of the team wbo entered Into double fignrea, and who made 22, 16, and 13 respectively. Tbe ground played very trickily, not to say almost dangerously, as there was absolutely no telling where or how the balls would rise The score for the first innings Is appended. Hastings started to play a second innings, but having five wickets down at 6 o'clock tor 29 runs, further play was abandoned.
