BOWLING.
A ttiost enjoyable inter-club match was played yesterday on the Napier green Between the Hastings and Napier olub's, when the visitors , showed a marked improvement on their play of last season. At one stage of tbe game it looked as if
the local club were going to suffer defeat in one rink, Foreman's score standing at 20 against Gllberd's 10, whilst D'Emden wap playipg a strong game against Binwiddie. The conclusiop of the game, however, found bur viators defeated in all ricks, they loosing the match in the total by 42 points. A large nnmber ef ladies and visitors were present and displayed great interest in the game. The soore was : —
