Melbourne, Monday. The Government propose daring tbe coming session to introduce the snbJMt ot constructing light railways in Glpps land on tbe narrow gauge system. A local shipping firm has made an offer to the Government to provide snltsble steamers for the frozen meat trade between Melbourne and London. The Government are considering the offer.
