TO THE ELECTORS.

Those electors who are on two rolls, bnt who did not know of the fact prior to the 29 bh of October, are entitled to vote on one roll. This is a fact that should be widely known, because endeavors are being made to "bluff" some electors. The wording of the Act is very clear and precise in this matter. Cianse 13 provides that any person who at the coming into force of the Act knew that he was registeied on more than one roll, and did not within forty days from that time take steps to be retained on one roll only, shall be liable to a penalty and in addition not be allowed to vote. Now the Act) came into force on the 19th of September, and forty clear days from that date brings us to the 2Hth of October, According to the Act, therefore, any elector who did not know on the 19th of September that his name was on more than one i oil, and who did nob acquire thab knowledge up to the 29th of October, is entitled to vote upon one roll. If any person attempts to hinder him receiving a ballot psp.T it is his duty to demand it, and nndar those circumstances any returning officer or deputy returning officer who refused to give a ballot paper to the elector, after being satisfied that he had not voted on any other roll, would have to be prepared to fuce the legal consequences afterwards. To every elector we say this j— "You can only vota on one roll. Nobady has any right to challenge your vote except on the ground that you have voted before, or thab prior to the 29ch ot October yea knew that you were on two or more rolls and did not take steps to remedy thab state of things, Demand yonr ballot paper, and do not allow any person whatever under any pretence to browbeat or persuade you into any other course."
