CRICKET.
A junior cap match was played ad Farndon on Saturday between the United j and the Union cricket clnbs. ■ The groand was very heavy, and the wicket very I nnkind to mo9t of the batsmen. The Union were disposed of for 40. The United followed, and were all out for 24. Io the second innings the Union made a better stand, at the call of time 54 being registered. Cuto and Davies were the most successful bowlers for the United, the former with three for 19 and Davies five for 15. For the Unions Steevens was- on the job, petting six wickets for 7 runs, and Laws two for nothing. ■, The fielding on both sides was very good, with one or two exceptions, Appended are the scores :— UNION. . let Innings- ■ 2nd Innings.
