NEW SOUTH WALES.
(Received December 16, 1.20 p.m.) Sydney, Friday. Mr T. M. Slattery, member for Burrawa, who was one of the members named by the Speaker during the debate ' on M_r Dibbs' vote of, censure, has issued a writ to test the legality of the Speaker's action. TheKev. J. Jones, English missionary' at Mare, arrived in this city last night, having been expelled by the French from that island at half an hour's noticfe, after a residence of 34 years. (Received December 17, 1.30 a.m.) The Daily Telegraph has been served with a writ issued at the instance of Mr G. R. Dibbs, claiming '£25,000 damages.
