WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

(Received December 16, 5.20 p.m.) i Perth, Fridaj. The Legislative Council was opened today by his Excellency the Governor, who in his speech on the occasion informed the House that the Imperial Government were prepared to accept in principle, but witk a reservation as to details, the resolutions passed last session in favor of responsible government for Western Australia. His Excellency stated that the estimated revenue for the present year was £371,000, or £30,000 less than, the original estimate, the expenditure heing estimated at £440,000. As the colony commenced the year with a surplus of £83,000, there would be a credit balance of £14,000 on the Ist of January next.
