(Received March 21, 1.15 a.m.) father Keller, the parish priest of Yonghal who was arrested for refusing to appear as a witness in- a case against a defaulting tenant, was.yeslerday; brought, to Dublin. At all the towns and villages c» route he received an ovation from- the populace. On being brought' before the . Court.in Dublin he refused to answer any questions and was committed to prison for contempt of Court. Large crowds escorted him to the prison.. In the House of Commons last night the Irish members inveighed against the arrest of Father Keller, and accused the Government of wiifnl exasperation' of the Irish people in order to justify coercion in Ireland. Mr Arthur Balfour, the new Irish Secretary, vehemently repelled the accusation and declared that tlifi baneful agitation of the plan of campaign was the cause of disorder in Ireland. • Thecloture rules were finally adopted Inst night by the House of Commons by a majority of 2G2 to 41, and will be in operation forthwith. ~ '■ The Prince of Wales has started for Berlin to be present at the festivities commencing with the ' Emperor William's ninetieth anniversary of his birthday.
