EXPECTED ARRIVALS.

Bangatira, s.s., from Wellington Kiwi, 8.5., from Wellington Taupo, 8.5., from Wellington and South Result, s. s., from Wairoa Kentish Tar, ahip, from London via Nelson Silver Cloud, schooner, from Newcastle Mary Wadley, schr., from Hobart Town Acadia, schooner, from Auckland Orpheus, schooner, from Whangapoua Isabella Pratt, schooner, from Oatnaru

The Union Co. 's 8. s. Rotorua, Capt. Carey, arrived in the roadstead at 10.30 this morning. She left Port Chalmers at 1.30 p.m. on the 23rd insi, and arrived next morning at Lyttelton at 7.15. Left again same day for Wellington at 5.15 p.m., where she arrived at 9 a.m. on the 25th. Proceeded at 1.30 p.m. for Napier, and arrived as stated above. Experienced light northerly winds and fine weather. The Sir Donald, which vessel was alongside of the Wanaka taking in cargo, steamed alongside the Rotorua on her bringing to, and took on board the passengers for the shore, and then left for the breastwork. After landing the passengers, the launch lost no time in taking on board the outward passengers for Southern and Northern ports. She steamed to the s.s. Botorua first and disembarked passengers, and then went alongside the Wanaka. The Rotorua left for Auckland and Sydney about noon, with a large quantity of passengers. We thank Mr Arthur Cull, the purser, for report and files. The s.s. Rangatira, Captain Evans, arrived from Poverty Bay at 2 o*clock on Saturday morning, and was brought inside at 9.30 a.m. She not being able to discharge cargo in time to leave at 1 p.m., was detained tfll 2 a.m. yesterday morning, at which hour she left for Wellington. The s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. F. Holmes, left Auckland at 5 p.m. on Tuesday last, and anchored under the East Cape at 6 a.m. on Thursday ; left there at 3 p.m. on Friday, and arrived here at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The Cross had to anchor under East Cape on account of a strong S.E. gale. She will leave the outer wharf at noon to-day for Auckland, taking a load of wool and hides, and 500 wethers. The s.s. Go-Ahead arrived from Wellington at a late hour on Friday evening, and was brought to the breastwork on Saturday morning. She called at several stations on the coast for the purpose of landing and tak^g in cargo. Mr Decker, late chief officer of the Kiwi, and who we stated was likely to succeed to the command of this boat, in her captain, Mr Quinlan, who was second in command on the Kiwi, succeeding Mr Decker in that boat. The s.B. Wanaka, Captain D. A. M'Gilhvray, left Auckland on Thursday evening, and arrived at daybreak yesterday morning from that port via Poverty Bay and Tauranga, and after discharging and taking in cargo left for Wellington and Southern ports at 12.30 p.m. She brought a large number of passengers for this port, most of whom were from Gisborne.
