NAPIER LIVE STOCK MARKET.

RoUTi/EDGte, Kennedy, k. Go: beg to report that at their last sale of cattle and sheep at. the Meanee, on the 20th, (here was a good attendance of buyers, and in the opinion of good judges the Btore cattle fully realized their value. The following prices were realized :— Dairy Cows, £6 5«. to £7 155. ; Steers, 3 year, £5 to £7 103., 2-year, £2 15s. to £3 10s. ; Calves, £1 12s. Gd. to £3. Sheep being at a discount now (except really fat half-bred wethers), did not fetch the prices anticipated by the sellers; the highest. price obtained being 2s. id. The low price of fat cattle in this market is attributable to the present depressed prico in the Auckland market. Store cattle still (although late in the season) fetch remunerative prices, in consequence of the graziers having an abundance of grass and hay from last crop. • ■ :
