Messes. Carey, Gillies, Hunter and Co. report under date Thursday afternoon, 21st instant, the cattle market to be Well stocked during the last: week, and a large cumber have changed hands at good prices. At the sale held at the Junction yards on' Tuesday last, prime quality beef brought 30s. A lot was sold last week, but of an inferior quality, for 255. A very prime lot of fat cattle picked from a herd of 400 ex John Perm from Wangauui, brought an average of £12. A lot ex Star of the South from Napier, 6old at an average of £9. Sheep from Wanganui, ex John Perm, brought from 12s 3d to 12s. Gd. No Napier sheep in the market, The 9.8. Keera has just arrived, and brings a cargo of 60 head cattle and 350 Bheep from Wanganui,
