MINER'S REEF.

The result of the crushing of seventynine tons of quartz from the large twelve feet reef in the above claim, at Goodall's Prince Alfred battery, was one hundred and eighty ounces of retorted gold, or over two and a quarter ounces per ton. This result, taking into consideration the large body of stone, is very satisfactory. There are at present over forty pounds of specimens on hand, which will not be crushed for the present. The prospects of this claim are very good, and no doubt bub when the ground is properly opened out, under the present management, the returns will be very remunerative to the fortunate shareholders.
