WELLINGTON.
Saturday, Oct. 2. The prisoners were found guilty yesterday morning, after the jury had been locked up j fbur hours. The Court then adjourned till Tuesday, when the counsel for the defence will advise the remainder to plead guilty. The Hon. Dillon Bell is expected from Dunedin on Monday. (He arrived on that day.) The Rev. Mr. Ewald was thrown from his horse on Porirua road, and hurt severely. The Taranaki was yesterday towed over in safety. She commences to discharge cargo on Monday. Is apparently in good condition. The surveying schooner Edith, accompanied by H.M.S. Blanche, . arrived last night, the two having been in company all the way. Mr. M'Lean had landed at Taranaki, and been very warmly received by the inhabitants. Mr. Fox is on the West Coast, engaged in the settlement of the Patea, &c, but is expected back on Tuesday. Ministers will all re-assemble in Wellington next week.
