MARLBOROUGH.
Nelson, Tuesday, August 10. A large and influential meeting of the inhabitants of the province of Marlborough was held in Blenheim this afternoon — the object being to consider a proposal of reannexation to Nelson. Such annexation was pronounced to be atrocious, and resolutions unanimously passed to resist it by all constitutional means, and even by force if necessary. [Applause.] A committee was formed to prepare*a petition and generally to carry out the objects of the meeting.
